They should have put more effort in the freezeframes.Cryopreservation of human testicular tissue by means of various concentrations of dimethyl sulfoxide (Me2SO): effect of storage temperature and duration. In this study, the effects of various concentrations of dimethyl sulfoxide (Me2SO) on the cryopreservation of human testicular tissue were investigated. Five groups of testicular tissue were cryopreserved in different concentrations of Me2SO (v/v) containing 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30 and 0.35 M. Five other groups of tissue were cryopreserved in the same concentrations of Me2SO but stored at a temperature of either 0 or 15 degrees C. Cryopreserved tissues were stored for up to 36 months. The percentages of tissues that survived cryopreservation and developed normal morphology after thawing were determined. The results showed that the cryopreservation of human testicular tissue could be successfully performed using various concentrations of Me2SO and that storage at 15 degrees C was preferable. Based on the excellent survival rate, 16 tissue samples were transplanted into four recipients. The histological examinations showed that seven grafts survived in each recipient, six grafts grew and developed well, and three grafts were either partially or poorly developed. It was suggested that this protocol of cryopreservation could be used to preserve human testicular tissue.Coxsackie B viruses cause significant morbidity and mortality.
